Today is World Autism Awareness Day!
Autism, also known as Autism Spectrum Disorder (A.S.D.), can be identified as a broad range of conditions that are characterized by challenges pertaining to social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech, and nonverbal communication. It is important to realize that there’s no one type of autism — these conditions are often individualistic.
There is no better way to celebrate this day than by becoming aware of the characteristics of people with this condition and how all of us can do better to increase our own understanding and promote kindness!
